Tattered Cover could open at DIA

Denver International Airport (DIA) brought a new concessions contract before Denver City Council’s Business, Workforce and Sustainability Committee Wednesday that will bring Denver’s famed Tattered Cover Book Store brand to the facility.

The U.S. Forest Service is warning Christmas tree cutters to be careful in national forests this holiday season because of high winds and the possibility of falling trees.

Forest managers say they may close some tree-cutting areas if conditions become too dangerous.

Cherry Creek State Park Changes Boat Ramp Hours for Fall Season

AURORA, Colo. - Cherry Creek State Park will be changing to fall season hours at the East and West Boat Ramps beginning October 1. The new hours for the Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) inspection station will be 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. daily at the East Boat Ramp.

Phase I of the Centennial Regional Trail Link is set to open

A ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of Phase I of the Centennial Regional Trail Link is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at the Peabody Elementary School “Rest Stop” directly southwest of the school. Peabody Elementary is located at 3128 S. Maplewood Ave. in Centennial.
